CONSOLACION HOLDS 5-IN-1 ACTIVITY

Last Friday was a blast! Headed by the students, teachers, faculty and staff, Consolacion National High School conducted five activities in one day: The Feast of Mama Mary Mass, Culmination for the Buwan ng Wika at Kasaysayan, and the opening of the Science and Math Month on September 8, 2017 at the Consolacion Municipal Covered Court.


During the first part of the program, a holy mass was conducted by the teachers, school faculty and staff to celebrate Mama Mary’s birthday along with the assistance of the Grade 10 students and SSG officers.


After the holy mass, the students were given a short break in preparation for the Culmination of the Buwan ng Wika at Kasaysayan.

The program was preceded by Mrs. Aida I. Melgo, the principal of Consolacion National High School Day Class’ welcome remarks.


To officially end the Buwan ng Kasaysayan, the SSG officers conducted a contest for the bayani look-alike. The criteria of the contest was given by Mrs. Anecita Velez, an Araling Panlipunan Teacher, while the introduction of the judges was given by Ms. Jaclyn Tallo, which was also an AP teacher.


For the Buwan ng Wika, a final twist was also held by the SSG officers to recognize the talents of Consolacion National High School - Day Class students: the Talentadong Mag-aaral contest. The criteria for this contest was given by Mrs. Irene Noval, a Grade 9 Filipino Teacher.


“You can start being a hero by being you.” Mrs. Blessilda Pitogo said, during her message about the significance of our national heroes, before the bayani look- alike contest.


After Mrs. Pitogo’s message, the contestants for the bayani look-alike were exposed for their production number.


The Launching of the Science and Math month served as a break for the contest. Math sayaws and math jingles of the grade 7 Einstein and Euclid students were presented to entertain the audience while the bayani look-alike contestants are getting ready.


After the break, the contestants were exposed again for their individual monologues. During the break, another group of students from the grade 7 Einstein presented their math jingle while the grade 8 Aristotle also presented their math sayaw.


Minor awards were then given to the winners of the bayani look-alike contest. Afterwards, the 1st and 2nd contestant of the Talentadong Mag-aaral showcased their talents.


The contestants were then called up to the stage for the selection of the top 10 who will be participating in the Q&A portion. The first part of the program was then ended by another math jingles of the Grade 7 Einstein and Euclid followed by the presentations of the Talentadong Mag-aaral’s 3rd and 4th contestants right before the lunch break.


For the second part of the program, the celebration proper for the opening of the Science and Math month was conducted by the SSG officers, members and advisers of the science and math club.


A dance number by the student teachers of Consolacion National High School Day Class gave the audience an energized afternoon.


For the opening of the science month, officers and advisers of the science club selected a few students and teachers to participate in their amazing race challenge. Mrs. Rochelle Torino’s group got the 1st place.


Meanwhile, the math club officers and advisers conducted a Rubik’s cube challenge for the skilled volunteers to celebrate the opening of the math month. Nino Ruelos, a Grade 7 student won the 1st place in the challenge.


During the break, another group from the grade 7 Euclid presented their math jingle, while two groups from the grade 8 Aristotle presented their math sayaws.


The closing remarks of the program was given by Mrs. Jesusa Luchavez, a Grade 10 Filipino teacher followed by the awarding ceremonies of the Buwan ng Wika and Kasaysayan contests.


For the talentadong mag-aaral, Jimmy Ricks Grajo and James Grajo won the 1st place. Christian Paul Rosalita, a grade 10 Bonifacio student won the 1st place for the slogan making contest. Javet Ponce, a grade 8 Earth student became the poster making champion. Jakielou Rosales, a grade 10 Maxwell student became the champion of the dagliang talumpati contest. And lastly, Reyjohn Tariao, a grade 9 Mendeleev student won the 1st place in the bayani look-a-like contest.
